Every entry names the system, states my role, and shows the piece of code that carried the hardest decision. All eight link to their MIT source; three are also playable on Roblox. Studio trial tasks are described with client names and assets removed.

Shop & inventory — DataStore persistence with retry and rate limiting

Tycoon — plot claiming, income loop and persistence

A server-authoritative Roblox tycoon: atomic plot claiming, a single server-driven income loop, and DataStore persistence that survives a mid-session failure — no client-side script decides what a player owns or can afford.

Round loop — intermission → arena → win condition → back to lobby

A server-driven round state machine for a 1-vs-many game: players wait in a lobby, get moved to an arena built entirely by code, win by killing a target, and are returned to intermission. Late joiners and respawns are routed into the live round instead of being stranded. Built in a day as a studio trial.

R6 character creation — weighted rolls, manual rig scaling, session-locked saves

Main menu → mode → slot → character creation → play, with the character restored on rejoin. Height and weight are rolled server-side against probability tables from the client's design doc, an R6 rig is resized by hand (the engine's scale values are R15-only), and profiles persist through a session-locked DataStore layer. Studio trial; 400,000-roll distribution test runs outside Roblox.

Sprint & stamina — where the authority lives

A sprint system where the client can only request to sprint and never touches its own WalkSpeed. The server tracks stamina, validates every request, drops malformed payloads silently, and replicates a sprint aura so everyone sees it. Small on purpose: it is the anti-exploit pattern every other system on this page is built on.

Cross-server LiveOps patching — 5,000 servers inside a 2-minute SLA

An admin on any server changes an item stat and every server in a 20,000-CCU fleet converges within 2 minutes — without hitting a MemoryStore, DataStore or MessagingService limit. Built as a studio trial task; 55-assertion test suite with a 5,000-server fleet simulation that runs outside Studio.

Economy service — session locks, fencing tokens and schema migration

A server-authoritative economy and persistence module: MemoryStore session locks with a fencing token stamped into the profile, atomic UpdateAsync writes, forward schema migration, offline income with a hard cap, prestige, and a DataStore request-budget gate. Written for a studio trial; ships with a spec suite and a runtime spec.
